Unconditional Love
There is one truth that I want you to know to be so true that you can feel it in the marrow of your bones – that I love you, unconditionally. To be clear, unconditionally means without conditions – so you do not need to say or do anything, or be anyone except yourself. This means there is nothing that you could do, say, feel, or whatever it may have, which would change how I deeply love you, for all that you are. There may be times when we disagree, get annoyed or frustrated at each other, or even do or say hurtful things to one another. To do that, is to be human. I love you with all your flaws and imperfections, just as you are. Do you know where I learned to do that? From your Dad, so you can thank him for having always loved me just as I am, and giving me the space and support to be who I am, with all my flaws and imperfections.
Side bar: Your Dad received unconditional love from MaMa and YehYeh, so it is something he feels deeply in his heart, as well. And you both are the lucky beneficiaries of this wonderful love and acceptance, which has been passed from one generation to the next. It makes my heart full to know the three of you are loved so unconditionally.
